Nous partons pour le Mont Bromo. Nous rencontrons deux français ( salut Lydie et Marin ! ) et décidons de faire l'ascension avec eux. Nous logeons au même homestay à Cemoro Lawang, tout petit hameau au nord-est du mont Bromo à une altitude de 2 217 mètres.

Nous descendons dans la caldeira afin de la traverser jusqu’au Bromo et de grimper jusqu’au bord du cratère. Petite heure de marche dans un paysage lunaire.
Heading to Bromo. We met a french couple ( Hi Lydie and Marin ) and decided to climb the volcano with them. We stayed in the same homestay in Cemoro Lawang, which is a small hamlet north-east of Mount Bromo with the altitude of 2,217 meters above sea level.

We are crossing the caldera to reach the Bromo and climb to the crater rim. Small hour walk in a amazing moonscape.
Nous partons le lendemain matin avec nos amis ( réveil à 2h ) pour gravir le Penanjakan et voir le volcan sous un autre angle. Armés de nos torches frontales on se débrouille tant bien que mal pour acceder au view point. Je vous laisse découvrir ce superbe levé de soleil.
Leaving with our friends in the morning ( alarm set at 2am ) to ascend the Penanjakan and see the volcano from another perspective. Armed with our headlight we more or less manage to access to the view point. Look at this stunning sunrise !
