During us trip to Lapland we have had the opportunity to visit the Santa Claus village. Located in the north of Finland, you can visit the place where Santa Claus lived all the year. In this village there is a lot of activities to do, in first you can meet the real Santa and take picture with him. You can also do a trip whit the huskies, or just walk in the village.
In this village there isn’t snow all the year but we where lucky because when we came there was still snow.
It is Finland's most popular tourist destination, welcoming thousands of visitors every year. The majority of tourists come from the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, France, Ireland, China, Japan, India and other countries mainly from Europe. In North America, the most common belief is that Santa lives at the North Pole, presumably on Ellesmere Island. This opinion is very widespread and is reflected in many movies and commercials about Christmas. But in many European cultures, Santa's place of residence is not explained, as long as he lives in the Arctic Circle. The activities of Santa Claus are Santa Claus 'post office, Santa Claus' office and the delimitation of the Arctic Circle.
