This is the second part of Marine and Manon holidays.
Hi everyone ! How are you going ?
Here we are enjoying a very hot Summer (and also very dry...).
The ideal weather for a bike trip along the Loire river, as Manon has experienced it ! Manon and her boyfriend Thibault did a week-long bike trip from Orléans to Angers, following the Loire river and visiting numerous beautiful castles (and also tasting some delicious Anjou wines! when the day was over of course). They did 350kms (about 65kms per day) so their muscles were begining to become really sore by the end of the week ! But it was definitely worth it! Of course, every trip has its troubles, but now it is funny to think about it, even if it was not really fun at the moment. For example the 1st day, when they did a so big detour for visiting a castles that after 70kms they were only at 10kms of their start point...!
Marine was still working in a bank in Paris (as summer job) but she enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, friends and family at the end of the day and during weekends ?.
She is even doing things near her workplace during lunch time. Here is an example with a Japanese exhibition, which was amazing !!!
One week end she went with her family to the Vendée (in West of France) to do a surprise weekend for the 40th birthday of her brother-in-law. It was really nice to spend time together near the Atlantic Ocean ?
At the end of the month Marine wanted to do (as always) lots of things to enjoy her last moments in Paris, before going back to school at the beginning of September ?
There are lots of great places in Paris to enjoy summer time !!
Now it is time to prepare for the new academic year. Manon is taking a year-long internship, begining with 3 months in the Bayerisher forest National Park in Germany, ending at Christmas. She will then go to Austria in the Wolf Science Center to help scientists.
And Marine is going back to Rennes for her last year of studies ?
Lucie and Benoît will soon arrive in Canada to spend an amazing experience with you, as Manon and Marine did. You will see... They are amazing !!
